QSF is the generic IATA code for San Francisco (similar to NYC for New York). It isn't a specific airport code.

QSF is the airport code for Setif, Algeria.

Specifically, the QSF metropolitan area airport code encompasses OAK, SJC, and SFO airports.

Not all booking engines will recognize QSF as a metropolitan area code and would pull up the Algerian airport instead, as noted above.

Here is a list of additional metropolitan booking codes: https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Metro..._airport_codes

As 84fiero said, not all booking engines will recognize the codes.

I've had success with Google Flights using NYC (EWR, LGA, JFK), LON (LCY, LHR, LGW, LTN), PAR (BVA, CDG, ORY), but it does not recognize QSF as a metropolitan code for the SF Bay Area.
