Hello all!

It's been a while since I have been on the board in terms of posting, but I have always gathered so much info from simply perusing. However, this one has me completely perplexed and I cannot seem to find an answer (if there is one).

I am going to be working in Malta for the foreseeable future but it will involve quite a bit of travel back and forth to the UK. However, not just to one location but LGW, LHR, BRS, BHX, MAN, EDI, NCL etc. I know a lot of these (well, most actually) will be by LCC which I can deal with if I must but my Q is, which scheme is best for lounge access? Ideally I'd prefer one I don't have to faff about with paying for but it seems a bit of a jungle out these. I do have an Amex Platinum and therefore PP.

I don't know the specific lounges of several of the airports you mention, but I believe PP is the biggest lounge programme out there. If you can stick with BA, you'd obviously rack up your TPs quite quickly and likely achieve Silver which would give you OW lounge access.

If you're not going to have status with any particular airline/alliance then the best bet is probably going to be Priority Pass. The problem with that is that certainly at some of the airports you might not be guaranteed access with PP if they're busy - certainly at LGW you will often struggle to access the No.1 Lounge at busy times without having pre-reserved a space (which costs a fiver plus whatever you would be paying to PP, if anything)
