I want to surprise my wife and take her on dream trip to Tahiti for around two weeks during September. Her dream is stay in an over the water bungalow. Open to doing a stopover in New Zealand or Australia. This will likely be our last major trip for a several years. I have a budget of $8,000

We've both got rewards all over the place and wasn't sure if I could leverage those in any impactful way:

1. 90,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards
2. 35,000 AMEX Membership Rewards
3. 60,000 Citi ThankYou
4. HHonors (Silver) - 83,000

Neither of us do a lot of travelling so we haven't really accrued much FF miles.

Any suggestions on how/where to start looking for packages or even just airfare? Any tips would highly be appreciated.

I've also recently an AMEX $400 statement credit for $2000 or more on Qantas earlier this year but did not jump on it (anyone aware if this is something that they re-offer?)

About a year ago you came to FT asking for advice on how to plan your babymoon. Now a year later you return asking for help planning another trip. You're trying to get planning services via a forum about travel and not a travel agent. You should look into award travel services.

If you want comment/validation of an itinerary/award redemption you're planning I'm sure FT members would love to give advice but we're not free travel agents.

Look into what you can get from your awards and what costs, outside of your awards, you see for your desired destination and travel time.

They will have a FT Type seminar in Chicago in October,must a short drive...I went 5 years or so ago..

Miles are not that hard, but it does take effort, and just reading will not cut it.

INDY has so many avenues of revenue for miles...
