Can't register with points.com

I'm trying to register with points.com, but the sign-up page says my password is not valid. I'm definitely on the sign up page - not the sign-in page. I've tried using complex passwords to no avail.

I've also tried using different browsers in case it was a technical issue.

I can't find anything online that suggests this is a common problem. Any suggestions?

Have you read their password requirements? Maybe yours is too complex?

They don't have a help desk on any social media at weekends, so I'm asking here first as I'm likely to get a quicker reply - it might be a common problem and someone knows how to solve it.

The password requires a letter and number, which I have tried. I also tried caps.

Are you sure you never signed up before and forgot about it (or that one of the first attempts you made "registered" you even though you thought it didn't)? Your password not being "valid" could be a roundabout way of them saying you're already registered before but the password you're giving now does not match the password you gave before.

Try logging in, then when it fails, try Forgot Password, and see if it is able to do that. If so, that means it knows your email address already and it needs you to reset your password, rather than re-register.

As to complexity of password, although I set up mine a few years ago, mine works as being 5 letters and 2 digits. (I don't know whether they require anything more complex for new accounts or not.)
