Its not 700 but 1700. The miles really entice me. I would get 2x EQM and also ~26,000 miles. I just hate leaving a location in the morning though...
Big caveat - I'm pretty sure you are only eligible for 2xEQM if you book this as an AA codeshare. Otherwise JAL flight numbers only earn 100% EQMs and discount business (I) only earns 55%. You only get normal AA earning rates and bonuses if you can book as an AA codeshare |

I said $700 since that's the delta vs flying China Airlines since it sounds like you've eliminated the miles option. So basically if you have (and value) JAL at least $700 more than China Airlines I'd go with JAL.

Recently, Ive been thinking about going with Delta and using 70k miles to book my return ticket. Granted I'm not a big fan of Korean Air business class, but I have 40,000 pts in my Delta account (I don't fly delta much anymore) and I have over 200k pts in my AMEX pts. Since Amex is devaluing their Avios, I figure that I may as well use some of my pts.
Since that flight leaves at a poor time, I was also going to check closer to the departure date whether I can find a Cathay flight in J last minute and use 55k pts for business class. Worst case, I pay 150 to Delta to cancel my ticket. However, this will mean that there is a high likelihood that Inot be able to qualify for AA gold next year. However, I can always status match my Plat to Alaskan MVP to soften the blow. |

I doubt OP would have any chance getting SQ F on an Amex transfer.
