Pay with AA miles?

If I pay with AAdvantage miles option...
Would 50,000 miles be $500 off my total itinerary ?

Nope. AA's reward program works based on award charts not dollar or necessary distance. For example a domestic US flight within the 48 contiguous states mileage cost is the same for jfk-ord as jfk-lax but there are different award availability levels.

Delta does have this option if you have the Delta Amex Gold/Plat/Reserve CC.

Welcome to FlyerTalk...

In addition to the links helpfully provided by Yoshi212 you might want to take a look at FT's dedicated AA forum, which has several helpful AAdvantage redemption threads. You can quickly find the Airlines and Mileage Programs forums listed under the Miles & Points link in the JUMP TO FORUMS area of the page header.

Good luck, and safe travels!
