Crediting to multiple programs on the same trip
I'll be flying to HKG and back over the weekend. Is it possible to credit the outbound to AA and the inbound to BA? Is this something I could do online, or would I need to go to the desk in HK and change it there in person? Thanks in advance!

Either:
Remove FF number from the booking and retro claim each flight separately, minimal risk of flights crediting incorrectly. Attach FF number you want to credit the first flight to then change the number prior to the second flight, some risk of the flight not crediting as you want. |
Like nux said.
It will take longer but with zero risks. The second option gests quick crediting but higher chances of error. |
Dont take the risk. Just keep boarding passes and ticket receipt and manually request.

OK consensus seems to be to remove auto-crediting entirely and do it manually after the fact. How long does that take to complete (I'm angling to use the avios I'll get somewhat soon) and will it break the various things that are tied to my AA account for this trip (upgrades etc)?

This second part may be best answered in the AA forum. If you'd like the thread redirected just let us know via http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/image...ons/report.gif and we can arrange that. ;) |
