Trying to get Delta miles

I am trying to earn a lot of Delta miles in a hurry. What is the best method?
My wife already has a amex gold card from delta and I had one in the past but cancelled it over a yr ago. What other options are out there. need to accumulate around 160k each. Thanks for the input

Welcome to Flyertalk. There is an entire forum dedicated to Delta Skymiles. Getting 320,000 miles in a hurry is going to be hard for any airline, however.
Note that American Express Membership Rewards points can be transferred to Delta.

Keep in mind that any Amex personal card solutions for getting Delta miles are once in a lifetime:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...etime-usa.html

So any Amex personal card you had in the past, even if you cancelled it quite a while ago, is now unrepeatable.

And, as others have said, with an airline where signup bonuses are typically smaller per card (25k, 30k, 40k, etc), and all from the same bank (Amex) it's very hard to get to 160k per person quickly.

What kind of spend can you do? There is a 75k Amex Business Gold offer that you might get you further quicker:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...50k-links.html

but it requires spending $10000 in 3 months. (Read the whole thread; the links in post 1 no longer work.) Do you have major business expenses, or if not, are you up for some very serious Manufactured Spending?

Agreed. Very likely partner miles could accomplish what OP wants.

Do a "Find More Posts by" the OP. The OP seems to have less flexibility than most travel plans.

So, no flexibility, and no miles. Isn't that what cash tickets are for?
