Getting to Asia in December
 

Hi, new member here,

I'm lucky enough to be on sabbatical (unpaid :rolleyes: so I'm on a shoestring budget) this year and want to travel in Southeast Asia starting in December. My home base is France, but I often travel from airports in other countries: ZRH,BSL,FRA, etc.

I have a small stash of miles (45k Avios, 40k United and 40k Chase) and while I can find flights to get to BKK, I'm wondering if it would be possible to combine flights to get to la Reunion, Fiji, Cook Islands, Tahiti, etc. I haven't managed to find anything for those.

Trying to figure this out before I waste miles on a simple one way.

Would be grateful for any ideas/suggestions you might have, both for booking strategies and cool destinations.

Look up the Wikipedia entries for the airports you'd like to fly to, and see which carriers fly there (and from where). Then look to see if any of those carriers partners with BA, UA, or any of their partners, as well as with any of Chase's UR airline partners (or partners of those airlines. (Chase has UR partners in each of the three major alliances. And individual airlines often have some non-alliance partners, as well.)
