Missing connection on flight I dont want to take- refund? Now.
 

Long shot, but I had to be in the airport anyway today, coming back from a trip. I had booked a trip a while back using UA credit, that I can't take now. Change fees weren't worth it so I figured I'd wait 3 hrs for the trip I was supposed to go on and see, maybe the flight would get cancelled.

It's not cancelled, but my first connection will get there after my next flight leaves. Any chance to get a refund or partial credit? I know it's a loooooong shot. How should I go about it if there is any hope?

Best bet is to call now and find out.

Claim flight in vain would be the situation if you miss the connection?
