Ambitious trip - ATL-SLC-IPC-PPT-TPE-NRT-ATL
I want to plan a trip from USA to Tahiti, Tokyo, and taiwan for 2, in the november-december timeframe.
I don't care about the routings but would like to spend the least amount of miles, and if possible fly on business class in one of the segments. With the recent stopover rule change on AA it ruins my original plans of just having a stop over in Hawaii. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Miles AA 160K BA 100K VX 50K Possible routings: ATL-SCL (AA 20k) SCL-IPC (BA 12.5k) IPC-PPT (BA 12.5k) PPT-TPE (AA 35k BUSINESS VIA SYD-HKG) TPE-NRT (UA 15k? or purchase with cash) NRT-ATL (AA 25k) ATL-HNL (AA 17.5k) HNL-PPT (VX 12.5k) PPT-HNL (VX 12.5k) HNL-NRT (AA 20k) NRT-TPE (UA 15k? or purchase with cash) TPE-ATL (AA 35k or 55k) |
Finding award availability for IPC will be a major challenge.

The OP may have lots of difficulty getting PPT-SYD-HKG-TPE to price as 1 award.
