Japan & Korea Trip: Staying at Park Hyatt Tokyo & Seoul

Since this post doesn't really have a specific topic (since it involves UR points/Hyatt hotels/status matching) I am posting it here in the Info desk.

Okay so I'm planning a trip to TYO and Seoul at the end of next year. I want to stay at both the Park Hyatt Seoul and PHT. It'd be the first time any of us would be flying first class (thinking of flying LAX-NRT via JAL since we have a lot of AA miles)! Four of us would be going so we'd have to book two rooms since PHT and PHS have a max capacity of 2 per room I believe. I'd be using my UR points for the stays and maybe Hyatt Free Award Night certs if I apply for the Chase Hyatt Visa card. I'm looking into doing a Hyatt Diamond Status match but I don't have Gold Status with any other programs so I was thinking of first applying for the Citi HHonors card (sometime in the middle of next year) and then requesting a Diamond Trial for Hyatt about 2 months before the actual stay, then applying for the Chase Hyatt card to get the two free certificates. Also let's say I had two of my friends also apply for the Chase Hyatt Credit card but they aren't Diamond Hyatt members, can we use all six of our certificates under my name since I'll have Hyatt Diamond membership in order to get the upgrade to a suite?

I'm thinking of a 5 day Japan and 5 day Korea trip. Right now I only have 50K UR points. I'm having two of my other friends apply for the CSP so in total we'll have around 140K UR points to transfer to Hyatt. I saw that Hyatt allows points to be combined for award redemptions but can we combine points from 3 different accounts for award stays at the PHT and PHS ? If we don't have enough points to do all 5 nights in Tokyo at the PHT then we might just do 2 nights there and then the other 3 at some other Hyatt hotel in Tokyo.

Does this sound like a good plan? Is there anything I may have overlooked? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated in order to make this a successful trip!

You might have found your answers, since I see you've been in the Hyatt forum.

But I'm not sure how you're planning to do a suite. The CC free nights are no longer valid for suites even if you're a diamond, according to what I have seen. Unless they changed that back recently. And also from what I've read, you can't use your four upgrades on award nights. You can, however, on points+cash I believe. Maybe I'm missing something though.
