Sales tax deduction for flight taxes collected?
Tax time, question around itemizing expenses!
Like most people on this forum, I buy a lot of flight/hotels (either through third party travel agent sites, or directly through airline sites).
The taxes collected on those - can those taxes be used in our itemized deduction?

From my understanding the excise tax and other fees can only be deducted if the cost of the whole ticket is also deductible.
