About customs 1056 notifications
 

I had recently purchased an ebook reader. And the customs dept of india sent me a snail mail saying that i have to show the billing and details about the item
And also has stated whether I would like to pay penalty or would like to appear for the show cause notice.
I had sent the docs but forgot to mention about the penalty.

Now the device has arrived and again i got the mail whether I should want to pay pentlty or appear for show cause notice.

The procedure is that once I pay the penalty only then the item is released. But here I have already received the item. What should I do now?
