question about canceling a segment
 
hey FT,

have ticket on US mco-phx,phx-lax, lax-phx, phx-fll.....if i cancel the lax-phx segment... does it affect my phx-fll final segment...

im sure this has been covered.. was not able to search it well..

Different carrier, but same answer.

Yes, if you skip LAX-PHX, you will be cancelled on PHX-FLL.

Your options are to call the airline and change the ticket, paying the change fee; or to not use the last two segments of the ticket.

good point. In that case, US will just charge an outrageous fee to reprice the ticket.

If you don;t fly the LAX-PHX the last segment will be cancelled.

Basically you want to compare the cost difference between changing the ticket vs ditching the last 2 segments and buying what you do need.
