Best use of miles ORD to PDX
 

Hello all,

If this is in the wrong forum, please move accordingly. I'm trying to figure out the best use of miles to get 2 people from ord to pdx. My options are transfer MR points to Krisflyer for 2 20k business class seats on United or use Avios for 1 seat on American and purchase the other ticket using Venture Rewards and redeem 53k miles.
So pretty much 40k MR for business class or 10k Avios and 53k Venture Rewards for economy? The more I write the more I think Business class, but what are other people's thoughts?

Neither United nor American offer business class on ORD-PDX.

Sorry, I meant First. Been looking into a lot of International Business class seats lately.

It seems as if you are trying to compare apples and oranges. There is no way to say which is "better" - x miles for coach or y miles for first class. It depends how badly you want to fly in 1st and how much it is worth to you, not to anyone else.

It depends how much you value your miles, personally. But I would never redeem miles at all for a mid-con domestic flight, and certainly never in domestic first, where you'll have reclining seats, booze, and a small meal and no other perks.
