round trip from USA to Sri Lanka
planning on flying in march 2022 from USA to Sri Lanka, send several days and then fly to the Maldives. sending two weeks diving in the Maldives, then heading back to USA. I am based out of the NYC area. What is the best way to get there?? airlines, round trip ticket?

What is your definition of "best way"?
Preferred alliance/airlines?
Airline freq flyer program status?
Looking at the wikipedia entry for the airports is a good starting point
However wikipedia may have information pre COVID-19, which is not the same as now and may be different in March 2022
