Transit in Indian (MAA specifically) okay?

Proposed BKK -> DXD with Indigo with <3hr transit in MAA bookable early August, is this okay? Any transit restrictions in India, or MAA specifically?

Interesting trip The final sector would be more of a worry: likely a chartered Cessna from Cairns

India doesn't allow transit right now. Indigo is operating special flights to/from India only

India

there are only 'travel bubbles' with a handful of countries at the moment & thailand is not on that list right now....this is only applicable till july 31st so things might be different in august....however, if things remain the same as they are now then it would not be possible to transit through india....

Yeah I wouldn’t want to transit through India any time in the immediate future, not to mentioned it’s not allowed right now.

I’m surprised 6E is selling this ticket right now for August. Too much uncertainty about the rules and what’s going to be allowed then.

Generally with the Covid situation almost any kind of transit is a bad idea (US for instance doesn’t allow EU transit). Look to fly direct even if its more expensive.
