Have a Family member arriving into India after almost a year out. They're coming in on a charter flight. Aside of the Negative Test results, does one still need to fill the "Air Suvidha Exemption Request form" & is there any form that needs filling ?

They land into BLR and then the plan is to head to MAA by road.

You have to fill out two Air Suvidha forms: the health declaration form and the exemption request form.

Thanks... Any idea how long it takes to get an acknowledgement for the above 2 forms once they've been submitted ?

First form you get an instant confirmation (since the is nothing to check) and the second depends on the state health authority at the destination. BOM/DEL seem to be rather quick, CCU just takes note and it shows in their database but they never send you a formal preclearance.

Confusing info online in regards to traveling to India on urgent business at the moment. I have a business evisa valid until the end of January 2021; does this allow me to travel to India without further documents / exemption letters? Would I have to just enter India by the expiry date or also leave by the expiry date of the visa? Thanks for your help.

Since June, business travellers need to revalidate their existing visa at an Indian mission. Old visa are not allowed for travel:

Strange, I have a two year business visa that expires in Sept 2021, I did not know about this and did not re-validate as above.
My first entry was Dec 20 and my second was Jan 2021, no questions asked on either entry.

Just to update so that it's useful for anyone arriving in the near term thru BLR

Apart from the Negative test result copy, nothing else was asked for. None of the pre clearances or the app as well was asked for. Seems to be a fairly ease scene for the moment
Keyser and SamirD like this.

And for International Arrivals by AIR into MAA, aside of the regular documents like a Negative test result & the self health decl. form, they are asking for the TN e-pass to be applied for. You can do this online or apply in person at a counter they have for this post landing just before you leave the terminal.

Above info is good as of Feb 2021.

AMD arrivals experience

Any first hand reports of international arrival into AMD? More specifically, I'm curious to know if UK arrivals on the direct AI flight from LHR are getting any special treatment.

When you recently traveled to India, did they ask for anything other than Negative Covid test?

Which airport? The procedure varies due to differing state regulations.

lots of new guidelines are due to come into effect from the 22nd onward....

these documents aren't clear whether a person arriving from the middle east has to wait at the airport for their results or if they can leave the airport after giving the sample....i guess we will know more once these guidelines kick in from next week....
