Thanks. How about Oderoi?

The Oberoi is a good choice. Recently renovated, in a good location & all round solid hotel.

Both Shangri-La and The LaLiT are pretty solid choices in Delhi. They're both known for being clean and usually have non-smoking rooms available. Service-wise, most of the time, they're pretty decent, but like any place, you might run into the occasional hiccup. No one wants to deal with shouting management on vacation, right?

Food-wise, breakfast can be a deal-breaker for some folks, and both hotels typically offer a good spread. Just check out some recent reviews to make sure they're still serving up the goods.

As for location, they're both in Connaught Place, which is pretty central and convenient. So, you're not missing out on much either way.
The kicker might be those points you've got for the Shangri-La restaurant. If you're looking to use those up, it might make sense to stay there too.
So, kick back, read some recent reviews, and go with your gut. You're in for a good time either way! 😎🏨🍽️

Depends on your budget, but I would throw The Lodhi in there as well. Used to be the former Aman New delhi, big rooms and they have multiple configurations to suite your 2-bed room needs. Walking distance to Lodhi Gardens, Humayun's tomb and shopping at upscale Khan Market.

Thanks. The Lodhi seems to get mixed reviews but I was looking at it.

I recently stayed at the Taj on Maansingh Rd. The room was huge, with a great view. Breakfast was included in either the club lounge (buffet and ala carte) or the lobby restaurant (ala carte). The hotel is walking distance to India Gate, Khan Market and Lodhi Gardens. The entrance to Khan Market Metro was perhaps 5 minutes away.

Has anyone stayed at the ITC Maurya recently? Used to be my go-to in Delhi when I had Marriott status and they gave me free breakfast on points stays, but I’m no longer elite at Marriott and suspect the property is getting long in the tooth. :
At their current pricing, everything except the Oberoi is in play, and my primary concern is a good buffet breakfast (which is the highlight of traveling for my kids), so I can stay elsewhere if it is not longer good.

The breakfast buffet at the Shangri-La is impressive and has the usual array of everything from bakery stations, cold cuts, hot dishes and made to order. It gets VERY busy post 8:30-9:00am, so I hope youre all early risers. The ITC was similar back in 2019 but I found the service better at Shangri La. I also think the location is better for getting around. Most of the other luxury-range I’ve stayed at (Lodhi, Oberoi, Lalit) have more of an emphasis on a la carte with more limited buffet choice. The Shangri la breakfast buffet is chaotic but has something for everyone.

Interested to hear people's views on airport hotels... Pricing is very similar, great reviews on tripadvisor for all, could anyone say why one is better than the other:
- Pullman New Delhi Aerocity
- Holiday Inn New Delhi International
- Andaz Delhi - a concept by Hyatt
- Roseate House

For 1 night incl breakfast before I move to the Oberoi.

Thanks!

This makes me feel good because although Tripadvisor has the rating in another order, I actually had a room booked in Andaz before I came across the others and started to doubt my choice! Thank you
