Probably best to visit places you are interested in.

Why have you planned to go to India?
Have you done any research yourself?

You seem to be providing less information every time you post:

I would say the cities and the countryside. Don't miss the palaces or the high mountains. Also, I recommend the food, the people, and the wildlife. If you have time, there are some nice beaches.

India is a huge country with everything. What do you fancy? Usual sights or something off the usual tourist route?

Well i would suggest you to go to Rajasthan. You would love the palaces, it will in all give you a feeling of being in a royal environment.
Then yes you can visit the hills as well.

I would recommend Coorg if love to travel by car. There are many scenic attractions in Coorg that are worth visiting. The places of interest are Namdroling Monastery, Abbey Falls, Talacauvery, Barapole River, Dubare Elephant Camp & Nagarhole National Park. The climate will be fabulous during April month. You will definitely love this trip as there are a lot to explore in Coorg. Also there many good hotels in Coorg where you can stay at a decent price.
