Indian Business Visa for UK Citizen
Apologies if this is the wrong place or a repeat - I did a search without much luck.
I am travelling to India for business at the beginning of May, but have travel in between now and then that I have to have my passport for.
I have done the online application and have an appointment in London on Friday at the High Commission - do they need to retain my passport after the appointment? If yes, how long for? I have all the other supporting Letters of Invitations, but if they need to keep the passport for 8 weeks for example, this will be a problem.
Any info greatly appreciated.

they will need your passport but unless you have any pakistani links, it will take a very short time for them to return the passport to you....
