Veritas1: what did you do for your Visa?

I sent my application and passport for 10yr business visa 1/25 and C&K received it yesterday (1/27). They would have received it 1/26 but they were closed for some reason. I am curious to see how long this takes as the online reviews are definitely not positive for this process.

OK, summary of my experience applying for a 10 year, multiple entry Business Visa. Neither I nor my wife have any Indian Heritage (this may be a factor so I mention it). I did not use my shipping account and instead paid for the CKGS Fedex shipping both ways. Total cost right at $300 USD.

Have others had issues logging in to the CKGS website after payment is confirmed? I am trying to log into "My Account" and despite having the correct information and receipt of payment the website says "Information requested does not matchup with criteria." I am using the correct criteria including web reference number and passport. Customer service was useless, they were not able to give me an answer.

Sent in my passport. Delivered USPS on Wed. Its Sat now with no change of status. Hope it wasn't delivered to the wrong place or this just got a whole lot more complicated... sigh...

Bit of an update. Thought my passport was gone (one week after delivery), but sent an email blast to the India Houston Consulate and suddenly 30 min later CKGS "magically" finds my passport. Suspicious...

Don't have the details any longer but both my wife and mine took about 10 days each. Both applied for 10 year tourist, I got 6 months and she got 1 year.

HGHUA Jul 24, 2016 3:17 pm

Just got mine back. 10 year. Whew. My first one a few years back was 6 mo though...

It just took 6 days to get a 10 year visa from the Consulate in Chicago via CKGS. Took me longer to fill out the application.

it took 3 days for my son's 10 year multiple entry tourist visa this past week. I was impressed!

I am trying to log into "My Account" and despite having the correct information, the website says "Information requested does not matchup with criteria." I am using the correct criteria including web reference number and passport and DOB. I saw couple of users posting similar comments earlier. Did anyone find the solution to this issue? Please let us know if someone know workaround.

Thanks.

Hi! So I called customer service and got some kind of answer. If you submitted your application before Nov 16, 2016 and are trying to do the match-up using any of the online links in the email or going to "Submission of Original Documents for OCI" you will not be able to login. Why? Couldn't tell you. I was still able to get to the Tracking page but also wasn't able to login to My Account.

If you submitted your initial application before Nov 16, my advice is to call the number/local office to confirm what needs to be sent. For DC when I called it was:

-Cover Paper stating "Per new guidelines only the PIO card is being sent"
-Confirmation receipt for the original application (I also included the courier service receipt)
-The "Call for Passport Matchup" email
-PIO Card

Once again this may have changed since my submission and may be different for each location so I advice you to call, I called at 9 AM Friday morning and it was a 20 minute call.

Good Luck and hope this helps!

I am having a similar experience to yours. I subm

itted my passport and renunciation application in april to travel next month. BLS has cashed my checks but have not sent my passports. When I go to cox and kings website to track my application, it says no records found.. I cant see to contact the new agency on the phone either. I don't know if they are any better than BLS. My husband had applied for a tourist visa in may through BLS and they cashed the check but sent the passport back without any visa. It looks like the Indian govt does not want any tourists.

I tried to fill out an application to transfer visa from my old passport to new one. On CKG site I specified that I will pay transfer online. Next I filled out Indian government visa transfer application and when requested for an appointment the online site kicked my out completely. I sent an e-mail to CKG and i was told to reapply. I did it three times without any success. Finally I gave up decided to carry an expired passport and new one. My question is why could not CKG and Indian consulate prepared a software which is user friendly.

This morning I received phone call from Cox & King representative. He listened to my dilemma and tried to find out why I have been unable to fill out an application for transfer of tourist visa on my new passport from an old one. He was very responsive and friendly I must say. He promised to look into the issue and promised to resolve the issue. I am very pleased to hear this. Unlike previous agency, CKG responded to my blog very quickly and I am very grateful to them. I will write another blog once my problem is solved.
