CHI TO MAA -Award flight using Amex points,need advice
 

Hi,
I got 1,40,000 american express membership points and i want to utilize this for my India travel from chicago to chennai. My travel is return trip from Chicago(CHI) to Chennai(CHI).
I can surely cash this amex point to $1800 ,but i want to get very good use of it.
I checked united,delta airlines,but they don't have much flights to india.
checked BA,but they have lot of fuel surcharge where it makes more expensive .
Singapore airlines don't have any route from Chicago and they have only 30 to 40 hours journey from west coast,which i'm not interested.
Please advice how can i use this 1,40,000 points to get any Business/First class ticket to the route mentioned.Appreciate your help guys!:)

i think you would have much better luck flying to either del or bom & then connecting to maa....

see if you can convert to ba avios & redeem on rj....ord - del return would be 170k in business class with very little fuel surcharge....

Redeeming on TK, LX, OZ, or NH is the way to go... Absolutely no reason to ever fly an American carrier.
