Transit without visa in DEL
 

We are flying: ZRH - CDG (overnight) - DEL (overnight 9 hrs) - KTM on our way to Nepal. From what I've read, we technically do not require to have any visa for India as we have confirmed onward international ticket from DEL-KTM and we are spending less than 24hrs in DEL.

We've booked a hotel room at the new T3 transit hotel in DEL at its international wing. The hotel asked for our flight details and said that someone will meet us as we exit our flight in Delhi.

Now I have the following questions after reading the forum:
1. My DEL－KTM ticket on Jet was bought separately from the Air France ticket from Zurich to Delhi. My boyfriend has everything issued in one ticket. Does this make any difference? I've read from others that it should not matter and both of us should be able to transit in DEL without visa?

2. The transit hotel inside T3. Has anyone used this hotel yet? We're booked and confirmed for Sep 22. Just want to make sure that we won't need to clear immigration in order to access the hotel.

3. Our luggages. We are off for 20days and will definitely have checked luggage. Carryon only isn't really an option for us. I assume that Air France will be able to check our luggages all the way from Zurich to Kathmandu. Is this correct? If it matters, we can check all luggages under my boyfriend since he has only one ticket for the entire trip and I have two.
