Connecting in Bombay
Dear all,
I will have a LX flight from ZRH to BOM, connecting to a TG flight hours later to BKK. My questions are: - How is connecting international to international in BOM? The airport chart suggests it's very easy. Is that true? - Will I need a transit visa? I find the rules absolutely confusing, some say yes, some say no, the Indian embassy's website isn't clear either. Thank you all for your help! |
this question has been asked multiple times here....a simple search will get you the answers you are looking for....
the short answers are that international transfers in bom are pretty simple & you will not require a visa.... however, i'm not quite sure about your baggage....if it is tagged to your final destination then there won't be a problem otherwise you will require a transit visa to get your bags to check them for your second flight.... |
No visa needed.
No hassles expected. Even if your bags are not tagged through to BKK, just go to the transfer desk and they will make the arrangements to retag. Much simpler and less painful than connecting at many superhubs. |
Thanks! I indeed found some threads on this topic after looking for a while (key is to use Mumbai instead of Bombay ;))
However I wasnt sure whether LX and TG really shared the same terminal. Thank you for your help, however. Much appreciated! |

you would not need any transit visa and your luggage would be tagged and send to the another flight..
