Help needed with VISA

In June I'm booked on a RTW ticket and I am thinking about changing my flights a bit and spend 2-3 days in Mumbai, however since I leave on May 31st I don't have enough time to apply for a tourist visa. There also a possibility for a transit visa but it's valid for 15 days starting on the dat of issue. Is it possible as a Dutch citizen to get a transit visa for India in Singapore or Sydney?

I wouldn't count on it. India's consulates have very strict rules concerning people who apply for visas outside their country of permanent residence or citizenship and they do often turn away people on this basis. You could try your luck but make sure you can change your tickets if things don't work out.

if you're based currently in your home country same day visa service is available. For instance if you can go to one of the consulates in the US they will give you a visa same day. (assuming you're not related to ..... etc.)

Unfortunately that's not possible in The Netherlands, fastest possible is 4-5 working days.

I was able to get a transit visa in Bangkok the same day. However, I had several expired visas and had missed my plane that morning due and expired visa.
