DEL-Agra Flight

There used to be a daily DEL-Agra flight operated by IC in the 90's, (used to be a HS748 turboprop) but cannot find a single one today........

Any idea is there still a flight service between this sector?

I would be terribly surprised if this sector is served by a flight - it is very short for any economical operation - it is less than 200 km. and 2-3 hours by train....

The shatabdi express connecting Delhi to Agra is a very nice train that gets you between the cities in no more than 3 hours. I would suggest it highly. We took it between delhi and jaipur 2 weeks ago and were very happy.

The old IC flight was a tourist 'hopping flight', Delhi-Agra-Khajuraho-Varanasi-Khajuraho-Agra-Delhi. It was never on time.

At that time the fastest train was the Taj Express (3 hrs), but now there is an even faster train (Shatabdi, 2 hrs), and the Delhi-Agra flight has become pointless.

There is now also an overnight train from Delhi (Nizamuddin) to Khajuraho...an amazing development, since Khajuraho used to be very hard to get to for those who could not afford to fly (i.e. most Indians).

Kingfisher have sporadically operated a Delhi-Agra flight for the last year or so. It may or may not still be operating, but check their website for the latest schedules.

We took the train from DEL when we visited Agra in 2007, which was delayed by 3 hours in each direction...

Fog season? If so, can be expected.

Not fog season, just a mockery of the timetable! On the plus side, the return train had come from Chennai so only to be 3 hours late after coming all that way is not too bad ;)

Forget the trains too, I drive. It's a four lane divided highway. You can get there in 2-3 hours. Hire a car, it will cost $200 tops round trip.
