Upgrade for an award ticket
 

Hi,

I am flying on Jet airways SFO-BOM-SFO using my NW worldperks miles in November this year. Currently i am booked in coach class as BC was not available then.

I would like to upgrade to BC for the entire journey.

What is the best way to do that. I have called NWA(my ticket is booked through NWA) many times to check for the upgrade and they always say that nothing is available.

Also i have to spend few hours at BOM airport and i was wondering if i can use the Jet airways lounge there. I am not sure if i'll be upgraded to BC or not. Is there any other way to use the lounge? I mean one day pass or something?

Any suggestions/pointers are appreciated.

You cant upgrade award tix on any airline that I know of.

The only way to do this would be to cancel the current the award and redeposit the miles and book the business class award using miles, that is if thats available.

can one upgrade a revenue ticket to India on DL CO NW or AF w/ skymiles?

Yes, you can upgrade revenue tickets .. if they are booked in a high enough booking class (Y, B etc). When you're booking on delta.com look for an upgradeable fare, or call the CO / NW / AF 1-800 number and ask to get upgraded with miles.
