Wow! They keep upping the ante - things that no other airline has ever been able to achieve in BOM...

I never saw this at work in the international airport recently, so this must be very new (within 2 weeks)

The fast track immigration isn't specific to 9W. I flew into BOM on SQ in the last week of Aug and saw the separate line for First and Business passengers on arrival immigration. There was a uniformed officer at that queue entrance and he closed off that queue as he saw me approaching in my scruffy jeans and t-shirt. A flash of the red SQ boarding pass was enough to get him to open it though

The first 3 immigration counters on the left were dedicated to this queue. I went from seat 1A to the hotel car in 10 minutes flat with checked baggage ^

I didn't notice the F/J immigration counters on departure a week later, but there was no queue to speak of.

Btw, the separate entrance for F/J pax at Terminal 2C that has been around for a few years just got better since they started scanning checked luggage near the SQ checkin counter, rather than near the common entrance to the checkin area. I meant to post about these improvements at BOM after my trip but forgot.

Ok, now that you mention it, there is a sign, but along with the other residents of India, I tend to ignore signs, so he was just staring at me while I double-timed it through on arrival on LH Y!

However, now that you mention it, I *did* notice immigration having a seperate line for F/C pa leaving the country at Terminal 1A, but it was shut down, due to no line...

SQ red BP?? Something you're not sharing with me?

(Just got off the IT flight from HYD-nothing spectacular, and no "chaddis"! )

No, and I don't think it is, although one might keep telling one's self that it's okay while walking through those premium lines!

Oh, and btw, LH does this when you (as *G or SEN) are escorted to the SEN lounge, where they keep your luggage cart outside, then check your bags in while you enjoy a seat on the couch in this "exclusive" holding pen - not too bad, actually...but I haven't tried the 'Celebrations' lounge thing with SQ...will have to do this before my PPS expires...1 more month to go!
