single PNR AI Express connecting to AI?

I was looking for a flight from IXB (Bagdogra) to DEL (route served by Air India Express and other airlines) continuing on Air India to the USA. But the AI web page doesn't offer such a connection; I tried Expedia and they do not either. For obvious reasons separate tickets are not desirable.

Would it work if I called AI, or is there no alternative to separate tickets?

The date is early January. My apologies if this issue has been discussed already.

AI filed fares IXB-SFO that I just looked at only allow AI marketed flights on that route. The IXB DEL flight op by UK is currently codeshared with AI, as are the I5 flights to BLR. They have not loaded anything for the Winter schedule yet, so that is your core problem. Once the codeshare is active you should be able to book.

In my experience, if you can't find the flight combination online then calling AI won't do you any good.
