*A Lounge Access While Transiting in BOM

Hello! I'm connecting in BOM from LH to AI (domestic) later this week. I have *G through UA, and my connection will likely depart from T2. What lounge(s) will I have access to? It appears that all *A lounges in BOM are contract lounges; previously, when I've visited contract lounges in India, I was given an access voucher at the check in counter. Will I need this in BOM (asking because I don't expect to visit a check in counter during transit)?

Yes since it is a contract lounge, you will need a pass or voucher and will need to visit the AI domestic check in counter. At DEL, AI has its own lounge and there a boarding pass with *G on the pass is enough.

You'll have access to the Adani lounge and you should grab an access voucher at the counter.

The Air India transit checkin counter just after customs will give you the lounge voucher. Once you get to the domestic lounge you can skip the long line of credit card holders queuing for entry and just hand the voucher to a desk on your left.

Now there's a small separate entrance for premium pax to the left of the main entrance to the Adani lounge. Takes you directly to the J section.

Thanks, all, for the helpful replies.

I have had multiple arguments with the lounge staff over this. Depending on the mood of the staff, it is either valid for both *G and Business class, or only for Business Class. The sign says only Business Class passengers allowed.

*G and UK G & P too. They would be unaware/ ignorant of status.

That is why I recommend to use the main entrance and then use the counter on the left. ;)

Last time I tried to do that, I waited 20 minutes in line due to "overcrowding" and then was refused entry and sent to the other entrance. I was not amused.

OP is in J... this won't be a problem anyways. Also I don't think that desk is there any more.

I haven't had that kind of experience as yet. I'd give them a earful.

I gave them more than a earful. My poor wife was with me and she was quite embarassed but I stood my ground and demanded the manager. Eventually he told her to go sit inside while I continued to argue with him :D

I've often heard them refusing passengers who are not in business class.

The manager admitted that the policy changes depending on crowding but they don't have a way of telling passengers this - the sign is the same regardless.

There is no policy. It's the lounge dragon's arbitrary rules for that time. I'm sure the airlines are paying the same amount of money to Adani irrespective of the ticket type. Its complete BS.
