Air India - Unable to retrieve booking

Hello
I have been trying to retrieve my booking from the "manage booking" tab in the air india website. After entering my booking reference number or the eticket number and my last name, i get the following message
"Sorry, we are unable to match your travel itinerary with your eTicket. Please call our contact centre or your travel agent for assistance".
I was able to view my booking about 10 days back when I tried. Can anyone tell me why I cant view it anymore. Is there anyway to ensure my booking is fine?

Thank you.

Call them - you generally get through to an agent in a minute or two.

Usually not being able to retrieve your AI booking is usually sign of their poor IT systems and not that your reservation is messed up. Usually.

Thanks for your reply. I hope what you said turns out correct for my case.

I tried for a long time this evening to talk to them, but never got to a person. So no luck there unfortunately.

This is a well known IT problem with AI. Half my reservations end up with this error.

Thats good to know. But mine was fine like 10 days back. Everything was showing up fine in the "manage booking" section and now just that error message.

Any tips on how to get hold of an agent?

This is very common with AI. The reservation displays correctly initially & then at some point it starts to show an error. Try downloading the AI app. Sometimes the reservation will show up there if it is not displaying on their website.

No other way to get hold of an agent. You just have to call.

Thanks again. I downloaded the air india app and the reservation is showing up there. However its only showing the USA to Delhi leg, and not the domestic leg from Delhi. Also the reservation shows up if I enter my pnr number in the chat bot "ask maharaja". But again no details on the domestic leg. Any thoughts why this is the case? In the chat bot - the pnr status shows up as "holding confirm". What does this mean?

Thanks.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I can realize its frustrating when you can't view your reservation but this is typical of AI. If you were able to see your reservation on the app (even partially) then all is good with the booking.

Won't happen in a day. You need to give them a couple of years at least.
