Air India - Check-in Requirements

Hi,

i have a Air India flight from MAA to DEL and will be connecting to a UA flight to the US on a single ticket. As I check in in MAA, do i need to have a PCR Test for the domestic flight to DEL or is the Anti-Gen Test required for the US flight sufficient?
This link on air india seems to indicate masking is sufficient: https://www.airindia.in/images/pdf/G...tic-travel.pdf
But they also have a link to this: for International Travel ex India: https://www.airindia.in/images/pdf/G...om-India-1.pdf

The proctored Binax/Emed test wouldn't meet this requirement (not PCR), so is this still current advise? Anyone went through a similar itinerary over the last few days?

No need for a test to travel to DEL.

I flew CCU-DEL-ORD on one AI ticket on Wednesday last week. Check in staff at CCU asked to all see documents including vaccine card and PCR test. Better to get it done before your first flight. Many check in agents in India still insist on PCR test for US travel. There are random stories of antigen tests getting denied. I would play it safe and get a PCR. Rapid PCR takes 45 minutes and costs like INR 4,000.

to close on this: check in at MAA was overshadowed by a broken ticket. Unable to online check-in, but in the end nobody at MAA cared about anything testing documents.
I would like to add that i was impressed how the airport staff tried to help, even though in the end i needed to call for a reissue of the ticket before it worked.
tldr: was not asked for any testing paperwork on the domestic segment (even though they handed me a BP for my connecting with international segment - which turned out not good to travel).
