This is AI we’re talking about... I think they would negotiate a slightly lower rate saying that only the tray in the seatback area needs to be sanitized... every alternate month.

Not to mention that there is a possibility that those screens are at the very end of their life and will probably dissolve if disinfectant is applied frequently.

You missed checking about the suite upgrades.

They’ve reduced the frequency of the route from daily to Tues/Thurs/Sat.

For India - USA - only if you're a US citizen traveling through a red country (not commie but Covid red) you need to do a 14 day quarantine when you land in USA. If you're not a US citizen - if you've been through a red country (EU, Brazil, China etc. but not India) you won't be allowed in for 14 days anyways.

And you need to quarantine for interstate travel - for instance if you go to NY from TX irrespective of your citizenship.

Father in-law of a friend just did AMD-AI-DEL-UA-EWR-UA-SFO-SLC and no one asked him about quarantine on arrival. He just self quarantined in a spare bedroom for a few days, then got a test and since then moves about freely. No one gave a rodents behind.

UA flights post Aug 1

Is there any information on whether UA is allowed to operate flights to India in August? Also I have family who booked DeL- EWR for August 24 way back, in case UA flights are allowed to operate, will the tickets booked way in advance be honored?

Who can tell what will happen on 24 Aug. For now UA will be flying to India in Aug. You should keep track of your flight on united.com.

Why wouldn’t UA honour your ticket? If you’ve bought your ticket - they will let you board if they are flying. Otherwise they have a refund/credit policy depending on when, how, where and why you bought your ticket - https://www.united.com/en/US/fly/covid-update.html.

VB Mission schedule till Aug 30
https://www.civilaviation.gov.in/sit...le_flights.pdf

So possibly no regular international arrivals/departures till that date (except for the flights approved such as AI, UA, etc)
