6E to Istanbul
 

Looking for data points for 6e flight to Istanbul. They are about 50% cheaper than Qatar and Turkish which is very tempting, however sitting on a wooden bench for 6 hours is not what I have tried ever. Is there any changes to the seat on these flights? Has anyone taken this flight any reviews? Tx

Ouch. I did 6E BOM-DOH a while ago and though I was in the emergency exit row, I really felt the pain. And that was under four hours. Good luck.

I know people who have taken this flight and hated it. It is very uncomfortable for a 6-7 hour flight.

I don’t know if they have now got new aircraft that is more comfortable for the long-haul for this route. Earlier with all the engine issues and groundings that 6E was facing they were flying painfully extremely uncomfortable aircraft on this route. Moreover, they had packed the cabin so densely that they had I think reduced the number off toilets on board. Not the most comfortable situation.

i hate flying them on 2 hour flights....there is no way i would torture myself for a 6 hour flight....even if the rates are 50% cheaper....

You pay peanuts, you get monkeys... 6E product is the same for long-haul. Take a few pillows along.:idea:

I pity the poor souls who get booked onto the 6E codeshare when they buy Turkish tickets to India... :o

a follow up does one get star gold benefits on a 6e ticket when flying Turkish metal.
