The nice thing is that it god slots in HND. So opportunities to connect to ANA or UA exists when booking with UA miles
Good slots ...NOT
Yes Vistara will fly to Haneda, just once a week with horrible timings, limited to no connections on the India end. Flight departs DEL at 3 am and returns back at 11.30 pm. And Japan not allowing transit traffic, which means this will be O&D flight, once a week.

damn those bubble rules....the only purpose they serve is to make life difficult for all passengers....

my brother & his family were scheduled to fly jfk-hkg-del in july but cx has cancelled the hkg-del leg & have instead put them on jfk-hnd-del....with the bubble rules it doesn't seem like they would be able to take this flight, right????

if so then i need to look for other alternatives for them....

Well... interestingly... India doesn't explicitly call out what kind of transit pax are allowed or not allowed through Japan - unlike what they do for other bubble agreements. So I guess transit is allowed???? You're brother and his family can then claim their "Stranded Indian Citizens".

Indians like value for money (I say this as an Indian). It is hard for full service airlines to thrive in an Indian market. These airlines should have like 8 biz seats and then pack the rest of the plane like Indigo.

EWR Slot secured, but because of missing crew rests in the B789 they plan to stop in LGW for a crew change 🤦🏽

Wonder why they picked LGW of all locations. Even their London flights fly from LHR.

OTOH they missed an opportunity to offer a "faster" arrival in the US by doing the crew change at Shannon which has US pre-clearance. This could've been a good premium offering as well as a good use of the transit time.

LHR has no slots available, I suppose LGW was the option to use so they can pool the 787 crews with the LHR ops.
