Checking bags on domestic itineraries

I have booked an AI ticket from BLR to TRV with a long connection at MAA intentionally so I can visit family. Will arrive at 9:35AM and leave at 6:30PM. Would AI straight check the bags from BLR to TRV. All flight booked on one ticket. I have had instances when some airlines have refused to do so on international itineraries with long connections, so just double checking.

No reason why they shouldn't. I've through checked on longer layovers. I think the rule is 24 hours generally but smaller airports can whine more about it. Still shouldn't be an issue.
