Mumbai T2 departure time

Folks

whats the latest one can safely get to the airport when flying international business. Wondering if security and immigration go any faster in the new terminal

thx

You will get priority security and immigration that’s generally easy to go through even in the busy late evening so I’ll say 90 minutes.

Depending on where you’re traveling from... traffic to the aiport can be bad. Also you might want to spend some time in the GVK lounge before your flight.

i have made it from the car to the lounge in as little as 10 minutes to as long as an hour....so there is no way to answer that question....it all depends on the time & day & how busy each part of the airport is....

you have to show your ticket & id to enter the terminal building....depending on the lines this could take you anywhere from 20 seconds to 20 minutes....

check-in counters for business class should not take time but i have spent as long as 30 minutes here depending on how busy they are....

immigration & security for business class is again relatively quick....having said that, a couple of weeks ago it took me over 20 minutes to get through security as the business class line also caters to wheelchair passengers & there was one passenger who could not get off the wheelchair & a supervisor had to be called to check & allow her through....

20 minutes to enter the terminal! Why didn’t you juse use another gate?

In the last many flights I have taken, I never took more than 15 min from airport entrance to lounge, except once when I was flying 9w to lhr and they took 15 min to just check me in.
normally I would allocate 5 min max for check in unless flying 9w. security takes less than 2 min. There's are two immigration desks for business class, one for wheelchair and one for diplomats. You should not take more than 5 min there. The walk to the gates is Max 5 min away.
However I make it a point to reach 90 mins before. I really love the gvk lounge and it deserves some time well spent.

If you're flying business, Gate 8 is the almost always empty.

One time I had 20+ Domestic passengers that were not flying Business/First (I saw their BP)
in front of me at the Mumbai Security line near the BA side of premium entrance. Some of them
looked like first time travelers and took a long time going through that...
Etihad side of entrance has been not so busy so use that one. (Rightmost when
entering the airport)...My $.02.

^ This seems to happen quite frequently to me. Almost makes the priority security take longer than regular security.

The GVK lounge, the last time I was there, the service was pretty ghastly. Clumps of staff standing around and chatting loudly - close to the tea station, where the dustbins were overflowing, with no one seeming to be interested in emptying them. The only interaction I usually have with staff there is at the bar, and on this day it was closed, thanks to a "dry day".

Also, everyone seemed to be going out of their way to be grim and insolent. I've generally found the average staff member at the GVK lounges doesn't seem to give much of a toss about passengers (with the exception of two-bit "celebrities" distinguished by the fact that they wear sunglasses indoors, at night).

Add the aggressive solicitation of "feedback" on tablets ever so often. And the fact that the lounge has lost the shine it had two years ago when it was new, and some cracks and stains are beginning to show here and there in the decor.

My general experience is under 30 mins from gate to lounge entering through the last gate.

Does KLM have dedicated business class counters at BOM away from the normal economy class check in? What is the dedicated entrance for business class passengers on KLM? Thanks!

AFAIK only Emirates and Jet (used to) operate dedicated business counters at Gate 8. Every other airline operates them right next to their economy counters.

This is Due to AI's infamous Domestic legs of international flights. The domestic flights operate from International side and thus the they need to pass thru Immigration. The Immigration counter used for this pass through is located at the left most (Right next to Biz/First Counters). I was there 3 weeks ago and took 30+ mins to pass thru security - as its a single screening line with First, Biz, AI Domestic, Wheel Chair etc.

Not quite corrrect... while I have no idea about KLM... many *A airlines have dedicated premium counters at Gate1/2... including SQ, LH, LX etc.
