No sense in that they can build Vistara and expand and let Jet crash out of the market

Resurrecting this thread since the bust could be imminent anyway.

Any recent experiences of award travel on partners since the suspension? Using 589 9W-issued tickets? Any issues? Are the partners honoring without questioning?

I recently booked an EK flight using their Select flight option and it went through very smoothly, was issued a revenue ticket with a 176 (EK) ticket number. Basically JetPrivilege is functioning like an OTA right now and booking into revenue fare classes.

Edit : Just noticed you asked specifically about 589-issued tickets, not quite sure about that.

Partners have stopped honouring 589 tickets. I would assume revenue or awards makes no difference in this case.

Tatas will wait until Jet goes to Bankruptcy courts to buy it cheap. They haven't submitted any bids for Jet Airways.

AF/KL and EY seem to be the current exceptions to that in that they are accepting already-issued award tickets from before 9W got shut down and a bit of the boot from using an IATA system related to ticket-issuing and ticket processing/settlement.

Thanks for this. Please can you confirm the source of this information.

Also, do you know if Delta is also honouring the 9W award tickets?
