Question JP Miles redemption with Partners - YQ Surchage??

Hi Gurus JP miles can be redeemed for for a quite a few partners on international segments. Members who have already redemed with partner airlines using JP Miles can you please let me know if YQ Surchage has to be paid additionally?
I see YQ surchage is a lot for ANA redemptions, but its not there for Malaysian Airlines.

Yes.
Whatever the operating airline charges as YQ and other taxes will be charged by JP

Question jp miles domestic redemption

Jet airways Domestic ticket shows YQ surchage which is more than base fare (ex Bom BLR).
When I do a JP Miles redemption on this route, do I have to pay for YQ separately? I guess not.. please correct me if I am wrong.
Base Fare - 750
India Goods And Service Tax Interim Domestic (K3)Rs.94.00
India Development Fee (YM)Rs.142.00
India Passenger Service Fee (WO)Rs.154.00
9W YQ surcharge (YQ)Rs.1,000.00
9W YR surcharge (YR)Rs.125.00

I redeemed BOM-NRT-BOM last year on ANA for 128k JP miles and 6k in taxes. Not sure if they have added the YQ now.

@Keyser - No US based airlines charges YQ so there will never be a charge there.
@Sun Bits - To verify if the YQ charge is correct you can always check the price of the ticket on ITA Matrix. There is a detailed fare breakup there. If there’s a YQ charge in the fare breakup on a particular airlines - 9W will charge it. As far as I remember ANA charges YQ - so 9W will charge you for that.

For domestic flights on 9W you only pay the airport taxes. You don’t pay YQ charges. Recently fuel costs have gone up significantly hence you’re seeing a higher YQ charge.

When was this? I can’t remember the US airlines charging YQ/YR in the last 8-10 years at least.

Ah if it was just 9W charging then it’s different. Generally airlines only charge IFF their partner charges the YQ/YR fee.

But Jet’s FFP for international travel on their own or partner metal is terrible. I can’t imagine there were too many scenarios where there was award seats available for 9W AND the prices were too much more than 7K INR.
