Picking Up Unaccompanied Minor in DEL
Some friends are sending their 10 year old child to DEL from EWR on the United non-stop. Anyone know where and how the child will be handed over to the guardians in DEL? Is it possible to enter the arrival area (with a ticket, perhaps)? Will an airline rep escort the child all the way out?

you can't enter the arrivals area, even with a ticket....
the last time a friend of mine did this was a number of years ago....the airline gave him a number to call when he got to the airport to pick up his son....an agent was assigned who took him to the arrivals waiting area while the airline helped his son get through immigration & customs.... i have heard you can even get special permission from the airport authority to meet the minor at baggage claim but i'm not sure how to go about that.... |
