Fake News and AI new TLV-DEL flight

Israeli PM spoke about AI getting permission to fly over Saudi Airspace.
AI followed up with clarification that they have applied but have not yet received permission
(possibly got concerned about upsetting babus in Saudi govt from getting sensitive about announcement coming from Israeli PM)

Somehow part of media reported this clarification with title "AI denies receiving permission"...
And it is this misleading titled story got much wider circulation than the original story.

BTW, welcome development - both from Aviation and Politics point of view.

Looking forward to EWR-TLV-DEL trip on UA/AI

Sounds awful. I've been through the necessary security to visit Israel, but dealing with it just to change planes, no thanks.

unfortunately stuff like this is far too common with our government....permission could have been granted but its very likely that no one informed the relevant authorities that its been done....
