Domestic F travel, DEL-BOM

I need to get Delhi to Mumbai in September. Short flight, 2 hours. Prices in F almost are the same. Jet flies a 737 and Air India flies A321.

which should I book? Jet or Air India?

Neither of those aircraft have F. Domestic flights on 9W and AI have Y & J only. Onward journeys of international AI flights on a 77W for instance has F.

If you’re looking at just service, food etc. AI doesn’t hold a candle to 9W.

Yes, you are right. Even though US carriers refer to domestic front cabins as F 🙄 the real world itís C.

ill book 9W then.

I would say a third option, Vistara is better than either of 9W or AI.
It has better food than 9W & better service than AI and flies from the same (better) terminals as 9W & AI.

Might I plug my own reviews of Vistara & Jet domestic business class here?
AJLondon and Bioflyer like this.

I do agree. 9W is quite good but UK is a little bit better.

A very legit airline. JV between Tata (Conglomerate in India/Jaguar Land Rover owners) and Singapore Airlines.

No regular delays apart from usual. DEL can be quite delayed this time of year due to fog, nothing that airlines can do about it.

Yes to own lounge in DEL, small-ish but not crowded and good food; unlike the packed to rafters Plaza Premium lounge who Jet send their business class to.
(No booze in either lounges nor any domestic flight in India for that matter.)

September shouldn't pose any fog issues any time of the day, so no worries on that front.

Do post what you ended up choosing and your review of that product, one more data point for all of us.

another vote for vistara....i normally use ai & 9w as they help me obtain top status with both star alliance & sky team but i fly uk between bbi-del a couple of times a month since the timings suit me a lot better than the ai flight....their business product is far superior to both 9w & ai....

And yet another vote for Vistara here as well. I have been very inpressed with their front cabin and have moved most of my domestics where possible to them.

Do 9W flights now count towards SkyTeam status?

yes, it's been about a year now....even some of their lowest fare buckets earn 100% mqms....the only bad thing is that you get no sky team benefits when flying 9w....
