9W-EY through check-in

Traveling BOM-AUH on 9W and AUH-ZRH on EY, but on separate PNRs. Will through check-in be possible? 9W agent says no, but I have had managed to tag 2 PNRs in past, although on a different sector.

If I don't get through check-in, does the airport staff help in retrieving luggage, which I will need to ensue I don't have to pass the immigration.

Thanks for the inputs!

I have no clue if Jet even has access to EY tickets as they don't share the same PNRs for single ticket with sectors on both airways. For example, I have a BLR-DEL-AUH-SYD ticket and I have 2 PNRs a 9W PNR and a EY PNR.

What passport do you hold?
If you hold an Indian passport and they can't print your boarding card for AUH-ZRH, I don't think they can even let you check-in to BOM-AUH itself (unless you hold a UAE Visa)

I hold an Indian passport. But I don't need a boarding card for AUH-ZRH, that can be obtained from the transfer desk in AUH. As I mentioned, in past, PR has through checked-in my bags by tagging its PNR to 9W, but I am not sure if 9W will do it.

9w is very unlikely to do it....

Has anyone had different (positive) experience in successfully checking in bags on separate PNRs?

I remember someone had once mentioned about ghost PNR? Any further insights?

Thanks!

I've only been able to do it on AI. In my experience, 9W is never willing to interline on separate tickets.
