Upgrading AF codeshare travel using JP miles
If I book a BOM-AMS return on AF on the Jet Airways website, can I use JP miles to upgrade it? I would think availability would be dismal if this is possible in the first place? Thanks.

I will suggest this:
Call Jet to confirm if this is possible (HUACA if you hear NO) check upgrade availability Call again to buy + upgrade together on phone Does jet allow free cancellation within 24 hours like AA/UA etc? |

JP miles upgrade is only possible on the jet metal.
Even jet codeshare etihad metal won't be possible, IMO |
Thanks. A sort of related question, taking off from the last post above: can I upgrade a Jet revenue ticket (India domestic itinerary) using EY miles?

Hi,
Unfortunately NO :( Rgds/taran_2005 |
And yet another query on this itinerary.
AF is offering cheapish economy fares on this route (albeit in fare classes like L), with a stopover in CDG either way. The BOM-CDG, CDG-BOM legs are operated by Jet Airways. If I purchase on the AF site, can I upgrade those legs using JP miles, since they are 9W flights? Note that these fares do not show up on the 9W site. |

Probably better if you call in and ask for redemption team. Do keep us posted on the result. |

If these are indeed on Jet metal.. I am interested to see if this is possible..

Thanks. So I take it the best I can hope for is to be upgraded at the check-in desk if they have availability?

Yet another query on this. I've booked this itinerary (BOM-AMS roundtrip) on 9W:
Outbound: BOM-AUH on 9W, AUH-AMS on EY Return: AMS-CDG on AF, CDG-BOM on 9W I'm trying to upgrade that last leg (Paris-Bombay) with Jet miles. I've sent in a filled in upgrade form and got the standard response - no availability, so waitlisted. I don't expect that to change till the day of travel (and then if I'm lucky). My question is, given I'll be checking in for both legs of the return trip at the AF desk in AMS, how do I check with Jet if my upgrade request has been green-lit? Is there someplace airside at CDG where I can do this, given that I'll be checked through? (And I have a single-entry Schengen visa, so I assume I couldn't opt to check-in again at CDG even if I wanted to.) Thanks |
Your AMS-CDG flight is a domestic flight within EU. You will most likely need to change terminals in CDG, re-check in your bags and clear customs/immigration. You can check upgrade status at the 9W check in desks.
This was the case when I flew AMS-CDG-BOM last October on AF+9W but could vary depending on your connection time. |
Well, there is a terminal change involved at CDG (2F to 2C), but it's a single ticket, so not sure if I'll need to/be able to check in again. The connection time is three hours - which is a little scary for CDG if I have to check in again.
