Help With Finding Out the Fare Basis Code
A relative has booked a DMM-DEL-BLR RT flight on 9W. Looked at the eticket pdf to see how much he could earn on AA and I'm a bit confused.
For the DEL-BLR flight it says "H2LX6RSA" under the Fare Basis column but under class it says "Economy (T)". I was under the impression that the fare for mileage purposes is the first letter of the fare basis code, which for these flights would be H right? Also this person is not a frequent flier, I am thinking of suggesting 9W itself as he won't earn much on AA. Do we have a chart of the miles required for 9W flights? Looking specifically at BLR-BOM or BLR-COK/TRV. Can someone let me know how many miles would be needed and the approx taxes? One can book 9W metal online right? |

in the jetprivilege section on 9w.com, you have a mileage calculator which will tell you earn and burn. 100% mileage earning if you credit to 9w's program itself.
Are you sure it is 100%? The eticket said one could earn approx 4,900ish while the distance travelled is 5,475 miles. |

you need to be more concerned about availability....jet is very stingy with reward seats....
Any idea how many miles and taxes would be required for BLR-BOM/COK/TRV? |
Coupon class and fare basis are 2 seperate things - the fare basis tells you how the fare was calculated, while the coupon class is what determines mileage earning and interline revenue sharing.
Often, the first letter of the fare basis is the coupon class, but not always. |
Can someone help with the 9W award chart? Found this old thread with a non-working link:

Yeah, that is true. But since it is a small amount of miles, thought of 9W itself.
Any idea how many miles and taxes would be required for BLR-BOM/COK/TRV? blr-cok is 4k miles + inr 855.... blr-trv is 4.8k miles + inr 855.... |
