Pathetic experience on JetKonnect
Flew yesterday from Delhi to Bangalore on the evening flight (appeared most flights out of Del were delayed to begin with) - no idea why, the weather was perfect in Del ....... Anyways, no problem with that - delays happen! (wonder how Indigo manages a better on-time performance, tho).
Anyways, the service on JetKonnect was pathetic. Since when is it okay for the folks sitting in the front row to place their cabin baggage on the floor??? I'm talking of large carry-ons - not a brief case or a purse. The seats are crammed in to begin with ....... I was in the window seat and had to hurdle my way in and out. AWFUL ....... Is that really okay for landing and take off? or is it against procedures????? One good thing is, the ground staff are still fantastic at Jet. I had a connection to CJB and the staff were very efficient to get all of us and our bags to our connecting flight. Overall, I must say that Jet's standards are plumetting. |

It's not. It's against DGCA regulation, and grounds for 9W to be fined...
luggage on the floor=pathetic experience on JetKonnect, one gem was Had to go to the airlines counter to get a ticket printout= Nightmare in India..others should avoid it.. You are paying for a flight people.. specially with NFA's, you are paying for carrying you from point A to point B.. it's not a royalty tour.. it's a flight.. stop complaining about everything..!!! |

Yeah, gotta agree with you as well. It's a different system than some other countries. Deal with it. Overall, the average experience is equal to or better than the US or Europe with respect to service.

Service is across the board better in India. I don't think there is even a comparison with America-based (;)) Airlines

TAP isn't an LCC :D
But yes, in Y class, our LCCs are better than some European legacies. And that says something. There is absolutely no comparison between 9W/AI full service and a European/American carrier in Y class. |

did you point this out to the flight attendant????
Yup - I did!!! The FA told me that there wasn't space in the over-head bin and hence they placed the bags there. They apparently, didn't want the hand luggage too far behind to have to go and fetch after landing ........ Oh well ....... |

File a complaint with the DGCA.
These kinds of ridiculous practices are never going to be stopped if nobody speaks up... And try to be specific with flight number, seat number etc, as well as the names of the crew you spoke with (in case you remember that information.) |
Will do that.
When I say, "they apparently" didn't want the hand luggage too far behind ..... my reference was to the passengers in that front row. |

Also, I've noticed sometimes when there is no space, they put it up in the coat locker. |
