Thumbs down Kingfisher Issues! [edited thread title]

Ok here it goes. I am supposed to travel from Delhi to Chandigarh on 18th on Kingfisher airlines. I want to reschedule my flight. On-line FAQ says that you can reschedule it online as I bought my ticket on-line from their website. When you try to do it, an error message is shown:

"We are sorry but your reschedule request cannot be processed. Please contact call center to process your reschedule request."

Their call center numbers (for international) are +91 20 2729 3030 and +91 20 6624 3030. One of them is temporarily disconnected and other does not exist according to phone computer voice. Both these numbers are printed on my itinerary and not working. Tried to contact them through E-Mail two days ago but no response so far. I specifically bought this ticket because it can be rescheduled online as their website says. Totally disappointed. Satisfaction level 0.

Anybody wants to verify this can try calling their call center. Well it doesn't exist.

Anybody has any idea what my options are?

Thanks in advance.

welcome to ft corrosion....

first, i think this thread belongs in the 'india bases airlines' forum....will ask the mods to move it....

second, kingfisher is in a big financial mess right now & it is not recommended to fly them unless you have no other option....they have disconnected a number of their numbers & have been very irregular with emails....

at this point, unfortunately, your only option is to either visit the city or airport office to make the changes you want....

O_o I see what you did there

OP, welcome to FlyerTalk. As Keyser said, you may have to go to an office/airport to have your change made. You could also try e-mailing them.

Thanks Mr. Bean and Keyser for your replies. Actually I am currently oversees so cant contact any of their offices in person.

But I received an Email from Kingfisher ([email protected]) which quoted by Booking reference(PNR) as well as my original Email. There are extra charges for rescheduling, which is OK and they are asking my Credit/Debit Card details, so that they can do the need full. Is it safe to give Credit Card details over the E-Mail? I have never done it in the past?

Thanks in advance guys.

Also I hope they are maintaining the required safety standards for flying, now when they are in financial crunch. I am bit worried.

One can only wonder whether the phone bills have been paid... Considering how cash-trapped they are and the rumours that the local aviation authority was about to cancel their license (instead the head was sacked as IT owner has powerful friends based), there is reason to worry... Nevertheless, travelling by bus or train within India than flying with IT is probably more dangerous...

FWIW, Kingfisher's mechanics have not been paid in 6 months.

Thought, I should update the situation.

Kingfisher airlines have rescheduled my itinerary. I received an E-mail from them and they asked for my Credit card details. I E-mailed them the required information and they changed it to the required date.

For you guys information, I used a "prepaid" Visa Card instead of regular Credit card as I was bit worried about sending information through E-Mail, instead of secure website. Anyway I am somewhat satisfied now.

BTW Thanks for your replies. Maybe the moderator can remove "pathetic" from thread title. Looks like Kingfisher staff is trying their best to keep it running.

There is no doubt on the quantum of trouble KF is in.. But their flights are not unsafe.. The regulatory authorities are keeping a close check on safety issues..

and irrespective of all the criticism, hats off the KF staff, who have stuck around and are working hard to keep the flyers happy..

This is not true. DGCA stopped the daily maintenance checks which they were doing on KF the week after EK Bharat Bhushan was replaced. This was slipped under the rug very quickly and effectively, and the media didn't even blink.
