I need a strategy for change from jacc to pm. My billing cycle is 18th of the Month. I want to collect as many miles as part of the 3x promotion of jet airways and then move to pm. The cut of date for change is 30th June. If I change after my June bill is made will I be eligible for all prior purchases to get the 3x miles. Also once I change on the 25th for example would it make a difference if I change before paying off the bill or after paying off the bill. Would the rolled over balance earn me miles again on the pm card.

What is the eligibility criteria for this card? The girl on the phone asked me some perfunctory questions and then said she couldn't offer me the card. I was stumped!
Been trying to get an Indian credit card rather than use my overseas cards. This seemed like a good option. |

from the date you swap your card, they will credit to your premiermiles account. all the transactions till that day would go into your JP account. since the 3x offer is from 9w, what they will do is to take all your spend based miles and apply a 3x on it after the offer period is over.
Your existing card will remain active for 60 days after the conversion request is processed to help you transact till the Citibank PremierMiles Card is sent to you. You would be required to retain a copy of your old credit card (front & back) in case the same was used to make any reservation / book airline tickets for any impending travel. JPMiles: All JPMiles billed on your card would be transferred to your JP membership account with Jet Airways. The miles would not be transferred to your new card. All unbilled JPMiles would be transferred to the new card within 60 days. Once your existing card is converted, you would earn miles on your card spends as per the features of the PremierMiles card. |

Are you sure? The below text is from Citi Email.
So, If I put a request for conversion to PM card on 25th June, the JACC Card will be active for another 60 Days? |

when i switched (before this whole transition game), i had only 1 txn on the JACC (unbilled), and they changed over to the new card, and still sent the miles for the JACC txn to my JP account, and everything after into my PM account. That was the basis of my response earlier...

To Clarify - after the 1 unbilled transaction, were you using JACC card and still the miles are sent to PM account? or the transactions are using PM card. In later case, it make sense as the card used is PM.

the 2nd scenario. I was booking a lot of tickets at that point in time and these were all non 9w so I had to ask them to hasten up to send the new card else I'd have lost the hold on those fares ;)
Given the T&C given in Citi Mail, I think I can get the maximum from both. Need to call Citi next week. |

The only thing I am sure of is you have to be a resident of the few cities which are selectable in the online application form.
